Pool
blankets are one of the most cost effective elements
of any pool heating system. Since 70% of all heat loss is
evaporative and convective, the pool blanket provides a simple barrier
and cuts almost all of these losses when in use. The net
result is significant savings in heating costs. The most
common pool covers are
solar pool blankets of tiny, transparent
bubbles that are designed
to trap sunlight and warm the pool.
Solar pool blankets can
reduce pool heating
time and heating costs by up to 50%. By using a solar pool blanket in conjunction
with Gas Pool
Heating, Heat Pump Pool Heating or
Solar Pool
Heating systems, significant
energy cost savings and reduction in greenhouse gas emission can be
made. As solar pool blankets significantly reduce evaporation, water is
also saved.
You can extend the swimming
season even without other forms of heating on the pool by the
addition of a solar pool blanket that can result in a temperature
increase of 6º to 8º C in a pool that has a sunny aspect.
Consideration
should also be given to installing a roller with the pool blanket
for easy rollout when not using the pool and removal when the pool
is in use. For the more

NSW.
We supply blankets that are welded horizontally, for precision fitting irregularly shaped pools and for ease of rolling.
